i know a shortcut

some sketches for a comic that will be in the derring-do #3 mocca zine. the comic will be about ice hockey players that died either on the ice of from injuries sustained during games. these are portraits (from photos) of Bill Masterson (who is the reason everyone wears helmets now), Howie Morenz (who took his damn time dying after a massive broken leg), and Allan Looney (who didn’t die on the ice, but murdered an opponent with his stick during a game).

This is a real blog. I’ll be using it as a place to post works in progress and drawings from my sketch book, as well as any drawing and comics related news or events. My self obsessed updates about my personal life will remain on my facebook dot com account.
